The Nesconset Fire Department Ladder Co. 2 has 49 active members who respond 24/7 to a wide variety of calls. The Ladder Company is in charge of many different operations inside and outside of a structure. In addition to house fires, the Ladder Company has extensive training in rapid extrications of persons in motor vehicle accidents, rope rescue, Ladder Operations and Heavy Rescue Operations. The officers teach and reinforce many different techniques that help the firefighters maintain and train properly. Along with these operations the Ladder Company also responds to EMS calls with their EMT’s and Paramedics. All members of the Nesconset Fire Department are cross trained to operate at any type of call or emergency.
